November, 28 2014 ~ Weather has not been good in Singapore these days. It's the rainy season time of the year again and I'm not too fond of driving out in the rain that triggers traffic congestion and flash floods in some parts of this busy city. Road accidents had been very common lately everywhere and I try to avoid being caught in such accidents too knowing so many damn drivers lurking out there and I had met a few of them on the road while driving for errands. Mostly taxi and truck drivers who are always in a hurry to go nowhere ... slow down people. You're not on a racetrack you know . I even had a lady driver infront of me hugging 2 lanes as she drives with mobile phone on her hand. Geezzz, she even got 2 infants at the back seat. Hellloooooooooo , are you nuts ? Look me in the eye woman and I'll teach you infront of your kids how to be a responsible mom driver ! Jesus Christ woman, in which planet did you come from ?
So I try to keep myself busy indoors most of the time away from these road monsters. Less nerve wrecking anger and stress. Better to give my naughty home buddy Gabby her much needed attention and company to keep her away from nibbling on remote controls and digging our poor grass garden that had suffered a major blow from her itchy paws big time. My dog I can tolerate, but those called humans, I can't. Haayyzzz
Oh, by the way, I'm back and busy as ever doing my crafts again . You must have probably been wondering how on earth do I manage to have the time to create my itsy bitsy crafts when I have house chores and a 4 storey house to look after, 1 monster dog, 2 teenager kids and blah, blah blah, so on and so forth. Well, frankly speaking, I don't even know how I do all of them too, and I can still manage to laugh ... and party with my friends almost every week... ( Thanks to the energy and blood boost from the Vitamin C and Ferrous Fumarate tablets I had started to take 2 weeks ago ) Now I got more strenght and I don't get dizzy spells anymore . Even my back problem had gotten better too ... lucky me !
Trying to figure out what comes first in this design.. wheeewwwww |
Earrings were custom made in a hurry for my friend Zeenat to match her gown in a beauty pageant this week. Good luck my pretty friend .... |

So don't forget to come on down to Tree Lizard @ Dempsey to wine, dine, chill, relax and shop on a Wednesday night this coming December 2014.
Geezzz, where else could you find a venue in lush greenery where you have almost everything right infront of you ? Away from the hassle and dazzle of the busy city life ? Yes , only thing you can do is just make a sound of a contented lizard once you are there.. tsk tsk tsk . LOL!
Now here's even better, the more you would chuckle if you see how much stuffs I had made just for you ...

November 1, 2014 ~ November is the eleventh month of the year and its birthstones are topaz and citrine both of which are yellow in colour .Although topaz is orange, it also comes in other colors such as blue, pink, yellow, and purple. The range of color for citrine is much smaller, ranging between yellow to dark orange.
The citrine – November’s official birthstone – is known for its romantic and sunny hue.
The word citrine stems from the French word for lemon, and citrine gemstones range in
color from light yellows to deep oranges. They are said to bring vitality and energy to the wearer. You’ll find an assortment of beaded citrine jewelry at My-SECRET-Corner, such as earrings, necklaces and bracelets in amazing handcrafted designs. Symbolizing hope and strength, November birthstone jewelry makes the perfect gift for any recipient no matter what the occasion. (excerpt from Helzberg Diamonds a Berkshire Hathaway Company )
While on the other hand, Pure topaz is colorless and transparent but is usually tinted by impurities; typical topaz is wine, yellow, pale gray, reddish-orange, or blue brown. It can also be made white, pale green, blue, gold, pink (rare), reddish-yellow or opaque to transparent/translucent.
Orange topaz, also known as precious topaz, is the traditional November birthstone, the symbol of friendship, and the state gemstone of the US state of Utah.
The word ‘topaz,’ birthstone for the month of November, comes from a Sanskrit word meaning “fire.” And in ancient lore, the topaz could be used to control heat. It was said to have the power to cool boiling water, as well as excessive anger. As medication, topaz was used to cure fever.
During the Middle Ages, the topaz was used mostly by royalty and clergy. A 13th century belief held that a topaz engraved with a falcon helped its wearer cultivate the goodwill of kings, princes and magnates.
Topaz was once thought to strengthen the mind, increase wisdom, and prevent mental disorders. It was thought to guard against sudden death. Powdered topaz added to wine was used to prevent asthma and insomnia. A cure for weak vision called for immersing the stone in wine for three days and nights, then rubbing the liquid on the eyes.
The zodiac signs for this month ( Oct 23 to Nov 21 ) are Scorpio. Scorpio is the eighth sign of the astrological year and is known by its astrological symbol, the Scorpion. Scorpio individuals are enigmatic, strong-willed, and passionate. With Pluto as the ruling planet, people born under this sign are considered to be dynamic and extreme in their opinions.
